Employee Spotlight - Lois, Nutritionist

Lois identifies home care patients who are at risk for malnutrition and/or in need of services by a registered dietitian. She provides education to patients and caregivers regarding modified diets, food selection, or nutrition support regimens and techniques with individualized approaches and materials to meet a patient’s needs. In addition to home care, Lois is also working with our hospice and community benefits programs.

“As a senior in high school, I was all set to pursue a career in accounting, but, being a 'health nut,' I read everything I could get my hands on pertaining to nutrition, so I decided to major in it,” Lois said. “I have not regretted that decision. I love working with patients and their families to improve their quality of life, whether by dietary changes, helping them manage their nutrition support regimens or recover from illness by improving their nutritional status.”
