President/CEO Appointed to NAHC/NHPCO Transition Board of Directors
Granite VNA President/CEO Beth Slepian, MBA, PT, has been named to a Transition Board of Directors that will oversee the consolidation of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) and the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO). The two national organizations have entered an agreement to combine to create a stronger advocate for the care-at-home community and drive quality patient outcomes.
The NAHC-NHPCO transition board comprises 20 leaders from home health and hospice and affiliated organizations, each with extensive experience in home health, hospice, palliative care, personal care services, home care, and private duty care. Ken Albert, R.N., Esq., president of Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice in Maine, will serve as Transition Board Chair.
“Beth is among the more experienced veterans of the care-at-home community, and I look forward to working with her on this important transition,” said Albert. “She possesses the vision to understand both the opportunity and the obligation to build an even stronger future for our sectors of the American healthcare delivery system.”
The Transition Board was selected collaboratively by the boards of NAHC and NHPCO.
“I am honored to serve NAHC and NHPCO as these prestigious organizations move forward together,” said Slepian. “The health care landscape has changed over the past several years, and continues to do so, and this is especially true for home health and hospice. Agencies like ours often care for our communities’ most vulnerable citizens. It is a critical time for our industry to work together to ensure we can deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.”
Slepian has served on the NAHC Board of Directors since 2021, and serves on several boards in New Hampshire, including CATCH Neighborhood Housing, Home Care, Hospice & Palliative Care Alliance of New Hampshire (Board President), Havenwood-Heritage Heights, and Wolfeboro-area Meals on Wheels, Inc. She is actively involved in advocating for home health and hospice providers at the local, regional and national levels.
Slepian has more than 30 years of experience in the home care industry. She has been with Granite VNA for 10 years, serving first as vice president of Education and Clinical Compliance, before becoming President and Chief Executive Officer in 2015. Prior to joining Granite VNA, Slepian spent 19 years in management and patient care at Northeast Rehab Home Care in Salem, NH.
