“Season of Remembrance” Campaign Raises Over $57,000 in Support of Hospice Services

Granite VNA, a not-for-profit home health and hospice agency, raised more than $57,000 during its recent Season of Remembrance campaign, formerly known as Lights, Life, and Memories, to support hospice services for residents in 72 New Hampshire communities.

Season of Remembrance provides an opportunity for community members to pause during a typically busy time of year to remember and honor those who have died.

Nearly 400 businesses and individuals generously supported the campaign, which ran from November 1 to December 31, 2024. More than 60 people who donated $250 or more also received a hand-blown glass keepsake ornament, infused with 14k gold, which was created especially for the Season of Remembrance Campaign by Granite VNA home care physical therapy assistant Jeff Lamy of New Boston.

“We are deeply grateful for all who supported our Season of Remembrance campaign – individual donors, all our Granite VNA staff, Jeff Lamy, and our sponsors – this campaign was a great success because of them,” said Granite VNA Director of Donor Relations, Melissa Howard, MBA. “While this season’s campaign has come to a close, we encourage you to always take the time to remember those we’ve lost and how they continue to touch our lives each day.”

Beginning as Lights, Life, and Memories, and now being carried on as Season of Remembrance, community members participate in this annual campaign by placing the names of loved ones who have passed on the online honor roll. The 2024 campaign was made possible in part by a generous group of sponsors, including (but not limited to):

  • Bridge & Byron Printers, Luminara Sponsor
  • Bangor Savings Bank, Candlelight Sponsor
  • Carlson Investments, Candlelight Sponsor
  • Concord Hospital, Candlelight Sponsor
  • Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Candlelight Sponsor
  • New England Employee Benefits Company, Candlelight Sponsor
  • The Colony Group, Candlelight Sponsor
  • The Lawson Group, Candlelight Sponsor

The 2024 Season of Remembrance honor roll included the names of 1,273 people.
