Granite VNA Recognized with CATCH Neighborhood Housing Annual Awards

Granite VNA and its President and CEO Beth Slepian were recently honored by CATCH Neighborhood Housing, a community-based organization focused on providing a full spectrum of housing and education services in Merrimack County, at the organization’s annual benefit gala. The agency was recognized with the Community Collaborator Award for eight years of partnership and Slepian was honored alongside two other board members as co-Volunteer of the Year for her service to the CATCH board.

The Community Collaborator award is presented to an individual or organization that leverages local resources, engages key stakeholders, and contributes to a positive change within the community. Since 2017, Granite VNA has provided resources and a team of skilled professionals to residents of Friedman Court II in Concord, a CATCH Neighborhood Housing property, through its Positive Aging Through Home Supports (PATHS) program. The program offers a comprehensive wellness approach designed to meet the unique needs of residents through group activities, individualized health and wellness support, and resident-led initiatives that promote physical health, emotional well-being, and meaningful social connections. From wellness programs to forming partnerships that address residents’ basic needs, PATHS strengthens access to essential care and empowers individuals to live their best lives.

The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to individuals who demonstrate commitment to CATCH. Slepian was honored alongside fellow board members, Jeff Feingold and Rusty Mosca, for their exemplary service to the CATCH board. Slepian was noted for always being available to provide expertise, guidance and support to help the organization thrive, especially through the COVID-19 pandemic, and to address the unique challenges that come with affordable housing.

“I’m honored to have had the opportunity to serve CATCH. Their work providing affordable housing in our community is invaluable,” said Slepian. “Granite VNA is proud of our enduring partnership that helps the people of Friedman Court II thrive and meet their health and wellness goals as they age.”

CATCH Neighborhood housing is a community-based non-profit organization that meets the needs of the communities it serves by constructing new affordable housing units and revitalizing existing housing in areas where affordable rental options are limited.

Granite VNA is a not-for-profit home health and hospice agency providing care and wellness programs to residents of 72 communities throughout the Greater Capital Region and Central New Hampshire and at Hospice House in Concord.
