Chief Strategy Officer Named Hoffman-Haas Fellow

Granite VNA Chief Strategy Officer Julie Stone has been selected for the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits’ Hoffman-Haas Fellowship. The year-long program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and connections necessary to excel in nonprofit board leadership and further contribute to the betterment of New Hampshire communities.
In the program, fellows gain an understanding of the core principles of effective nonprofit board governance including financial strategy, legal responsibilities, and ethical considerations from experienced mentors. Fellows also have opportunities to hone their leadership skills through real-world board scenarios, tackling complex challenges, and making strategic decisions.
“Being a nonprofit board member is about offering my time, experience and passion to help organizations grow and better serve those who rely on them,” said Stone. “Participating in this fellowship will help me grow in that role, and make a more meaningful impact in my community.”
Stone joined Granite VNA in 2023 as Vice President of Strategy and was promoted to Chief Strategy Officer in September 2024. Prior to joining the agency, she served as Director of Strategy, Innovation and Engagement for Home Health and Hospice Care and Director of Business Development for Home Instead Senior Care. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of New Hampshire.
Stone also serves on the boards of Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc.; Hospice Help Foundation; Hospice and Palliative Care Alliance; Nashua Public Health Executive Committee; and New Hampshire Healthcare Sector Partnership. She is a member of the Rotary International Professional Exchange Program, Alliance for Community Health Advisory Board, and United Way of Greater Seacoast Summit on Aging Planning Committee.
