“Season of Remembrance” Holiday Tradition Returns to Honor Loved Ones and Support Hospice Services

At Granite VNA, remembering loved ones who are no longer with us is an important tradition. “Season of Remembrance” provides an opportunity for community members to pause during a typically busy time of year to remember and honor those who have died and to celebrate those who provide hospice care in the community.
“It is deeply important to us to provide our community a meaningful opportunity to remember our loved ones who are no longer with us,” said Granite VNA Director of Donor Relations Melissa Howard. “Our ‘Season of Remembrance’ tradition is a wonderful opportunity for the community to remember how those we’ve lost continue to touch our lives each and every day.”
During “Season of Remembrance,” Granite VNA invites community members to submit names of those who have passed away to be included on its online honor roll, viewable at granitevna.org starting November 1. Individuals remembered as part of “Season of Remembrance” do not need to have been part of Granite VNA’s hospice program, they need only to hold a special place in someone’s heart.
“Season of Remembrance” also welcomes donations to support Granite VNA hospice services. Those who donate $250 or more prior to December 31, will receive a special hand-blown glass keepsake ornament created by Granite VNA home care physical therapy assistant Jeff Lamy of New Boston. This year’s ornament is a deep cobalt blue glass orb with a thin ribbon of teal glass fused into the surface, delicately encircling it.
