Honoring the Hospice House for future generations

Help Sustain Care at Hospice House for Generations

For three decades, Granite VNA Hospice House has offered compassionate end-of-life care to individuals and families in our community. Our 10-bed nonprofit facility has been a place of peace, dignity, and profound human connection; a home where patients spend their final days surrounded by comfort and love, and where families find support during one of life’s most tender transitions.

Because the Hospice House is used almost every moment of every day, its spaces have become well-loved and well-worn. Patient and family needs have evolved, and to uphold our commitment to exceptional care, the time has come to renew and strengthen the physical and financial foundation of the Hospice House.

“A bad experience made good”

When Vince and Jackie Bonjorno lost their son, Mitchell, they experienced one of life’s most painful moments. At Hospice House, they found more than medical care. They found compassion, dignity, and comfort for their entire family. That care stayed with them long after they left, inspiring a decade of service in return.

A Campaign to Protect What Matters Most

To ensure the Hospice House remains a sanctuary of comfort and compassion for decades to come, Granite VNA is launching a dual-goal capital campaign:

1. Renovate the interior of Hospice House to create the most calming, comforting, and accessible environment possible.

2. Build out a dedicated Hospice House Endowment to secure its long-term sustainability and future care needs.

Together, these efforts will preserve the heart of the Hospice House—both its physical space and its financial strength—so that every family in our region has continued access to dignified end-of-life care.

“I cannot imagine a community without a Hospice House to assist families through one of the most difficult times in their lives”

Seven years after her experience at Hospice House, Marge remains deeply grateful for the care she and her husband, Donald, received. She recalls a team that cared not only for her husband, but for her as well, supporting her physically, emotionally, and spiritually. That lasting impact fuels her belief that building an endowment is essential to ensure Hospice House remains a vital resource for families for generations to come.

A Vision for the Next 30 Years

The Hospice House is more than a building it is a place where love, comfort, and compassion converge at life’s most important moments. By supporting this dual-goal campaign, donors will help ensure:

  • The space itself remains warm, peaceful, and restorative.
  • The organization has the financial strength to uphold its mission for generations.
  • Every patient and family entering the Hospice House experiences the dignity, care, and comfort they deserve.

Together, we can renew the Hospice House today and secure its future for tomorrow, honoring the thousands of families who have found solace here, and ensuring thousands more can have the same experience.

“The cost of the care was taken care of, so I didn’t have to worry about finances”

When Donald lost his wife, Barbara, the emotional weight of her final days was immense. Hospice House lifted a burden that could have changed his life forever by ensuring her care came without financial fear. Because of that support, Donald was able to focus on being present with Barbara, knowing she was receiving exceptional care and that his family’s future was protected.
