Annual Lights, Life and Memories Campaign Generates $63,000 to Support Hospice Services
Granite VNA has provided hospice care to New Hampshire residents in their homes, hospitals and nursing facilities since 1981 and opened the state’s first hospice house in 1994. The agency’s recent annual Lights, Life and Memories campaign raised nearly $63,000 to support this vital service, thanks to more than 150 businesses and individuals who donated.
Lights, Life and Memories honors and remembers loved ones who have passed and recognizes the importance of hospice care in New Hampshire.
Each year, community members participate in Lights, Life and Memories by including the names of loved ones who have passed on the online honor roll and/or placing their names on handmade porcelain doves which are displayed on evergreen trees at the community remembrance services held in Alton, Concord, Meredith, Wakefield, and Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
The 2022 Lights, Life & Memories honor roll included the names of 1,679 people and 664 porcelain doves bearing loved ones’ names adorned the five evergreen trees. More than 100 people combined attended the five services, held concurrently on December 10, 2022, which featured music, readings, reflection and remembrance.
