Granite VNA Announces Annual Passion for Caring Fundraiser on May 7 to Benefit Hospice House

Granite VNA will host its annual Passion for Caring fundraising event on Thursday, May 7, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at The Barn at Bull Meadow in Concord, New Hampshire. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit Granite VNA’s Hospice House to ensure that compassionate hospice care is accessible to residents throughout central New Hampshire.
Granite VNA’s largest annual fundraising event features remarks from agency leaders and family members of those who have received hospice care, as well as music and refreshments. The popular silent auction features exciting experiences such as Red Sox tickets, theater tickets and luxury travel; locally made art and handcrafted treasures; helpful services; a beautiful sterling silver and diamond pendant; and more.
Each year at Passion for Caring, Granite VNA recognizes outstanding community members with its prestigious Kay Sidway and Donor Recognition awards.
The Kay Sidway Award is presented annually to an individual who is devoted to educating, nurturing, and promoting the wellbeing of children and families across the 72 New Hampshire communities served by Granite VNA. This year’s recipient is Dartmouth Health Children’s pediatrician Tessa LaFortune-Greenberg, MD, (pictured), who has cared for patients at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Concord for 20 years.
Dr. LaFortune-Greenberg’s nominator noted that “her work reflects the very essence of Kay Sidway’s legacy: nurturing families, supporting children, and building strong, resilient communities. Her influence extends far beyond the exam room. She mentors colleagues, collaborates across organizations, and consistently champions the protective factors that help families thrive.
Lafortune-Greenberg earned her M.D. from the UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, Mass., and completed her residency in pediatrics at UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center, also in Worcester.
Jay and Jenny Mullins of Hopkinton will receive Granite VNA’s Donor Recognition Award in honor of their longstanding dedication to the agency. Jay served on the agency’s board of trustees from 2015 to October 2025, including leadership roles on various committees and as treasurer of the executive committee. Together, the Mullins’s have remained active volunteers and supporters of the agency’s mission for many years.
