Granite VNA announces James Manahan as its Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Manahan will provide leadership and oversight of all financial business operations and financial policies, and will contribute to strategic planning and initiatives as a member of the agency’s senior leadership team. Manahan will also lead and oversee the agency’s finances, including both payroll and the overall revenue cycle.

“We are excited to welcome Jim to the Granite VNA team,” said Beth Slepian, MBA, PT, President/CEO. “At a time when home health and hospice care providers are challenged on many fronts, the addition of someone with Jim’s experience and knowledge of the industry, and his familiarity with an agency of our size and depth, will be invaluable to us and therefore to the communities we serve.”

Manahan brings nearly 30 years of home health care financial management experience to the agency. Prior to joining Granite VNA, he was an independent finance and operations consultant for a variety of clients, and served in senior leadership roles with the University of Vermont Health Network (UVHN), most recently as Assistant Vice President, Finance at Alice Hyde Medical Center. Prior to joining UVHN, Manahan served in leadership roles with VNA of the Treasure Coast in Vero Beach, Florida and with Franklin County Home Health Agency in Vermont.

“I am excited to join the Granite VNA team and look forward to working with the staff to maximize the value of our services to the communities and people we serve,” said Manahan. “I have come to realize that home health and hospice is a critically important and valuable part of our healthcare system and it is where I have chosen to commit almost 30 years of my career. I am honored to be a contributing member of such a well-respected organization along with the talented, caring, and dedicated staff.”

Manahan holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a forecasting concentration from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from Lyndon State College in Vermont. He also holds a professional certificate in healthcare leadership and administration.
