Nominations are officially open for Granite VNA’s annual Kay Sidway Award, presented to an individual devoted to educating, nurturing and promoting the wellbeing of children and families across the 72 New Hampshire communities served by Granite VNA. Nominations will be accepted through Friday, February 14.

The award, now in its 26th year, was first presented to long-time Concord area educator Kay Sidway, honoring her endless love and commitment to children in the community. Past honorees include, late New Hampshire State Representative Mary Stuart Gile, the Honorable Kathleen McGuire, NH Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence Director of Public Affairs and City Councilwoman Amanda Grady Sexton and Bow School District social worker Pauline Laliberte.

Granite VNA will honor an individual who lives and/or works in any of the communities they serve and who:

• leads by example in working to improve the quality of life for fellow citizens
• demonstrates a concern for the health and well-being of all community members
• makes a meaningful difference for children and families in Greater Concord and the Lakes Region
• demonstrates a commitment to the education, nurturing and the well-being of families
• collaborates with local agencies to identify needs that, when addressed, strengthen families in our community.

Nominations must include the nominee’s name and, if applicable, their organization and position or title. Submissions must also include a narrative describing how the nominee meets the award criteria.
